The Durham Bicycle Cooperative wants to empower people to not only repair their bicycles but keep them in safe working condition. In this free session, you'll learn the ABCs of bicycle safety: Air, Brakes, and Chain.

Air: It's important to keep your tires properly inflated, know how to change a tube in case you get a flat, and to check tires regularly for wear.

Brakes: It's important that your brakes are in good condition, properly adjusted, brake well, and that you know how to do minor adjustments that don’t require any tools.

Chain: The chain drives the whole bike, so it's important to check it for wear, and keep it shifting well.

Following this event will be the debut of the Durham Bicycle Cooperative's new Mobile Bike repair setup! This cargo trike brings the repair session to you and can service the basic ABC needs of your bike.

This event is presented by the Durham Bicycle Cooperative, Durham Parks and Recreation, and Durham County Library for the North Carolina Year of the Trail!
