This event has been rescheduled for May 4th.
Create your own natural birdhouse from gourds! Local artist Kim Tyler will share techniques and tips for making a natural birdhouse, and you'll get to make a gourd birdhouse for your spring and summer garden. All supplies will be provided. This program will take place in the Maker Lab (1st Floor) at Main Library. Check out the below images of a finished birdhouse!
Registration Required. This program is for Adults (18+) and Seniors.
This program is part of Durham County's Library Fest and is proudly sponsored by The Library Foundation and The Forest at Duke.
This program will have a mix of high and low sensory elements, with most sensory engagement being tactile and auditory. If you need sensory friendly elements, the Library can provide gloves, sunglasses, and/or noise cancelling headphones. You are also welcome to bring your own sensory items if needed.
