Youth Explorers is geared toward neurodivergent youth and youth with disabilities ages 5-12, but children of all ability levels are welcome to attend. Each month, we'll explore a different theme in the Maker Lab followed by time in the Multi-Sensory Environment.
As part of Durham County's Library Fest, April's Youth Explorers theme is Nature!
Registration is required. Please only register the child attending. Caregivers do not need to register, but they must attend the event with their children.
This program will have high sensory stimulation including pre-recorded bird calls, noise from participants, and movement between activities. If you have any accessibility questions or accommodation needs, please contact us at Accessibility_Services@dconc.gov. We ask that all requests be made at least three (3) business days prior to the event to ensure we can provide the best accommodations possible!
