Join us in the first floor MakerLab for hands-on crafts from 11-1 for ages 5 and up in honor of knowing and sharing your histories as those of the Stagville Memorial Project. Make an abayomi doll, write your ancestors a Durham postcard, decorate a paper doll, start your family tree, or paint a stone in honor of someone whose wisdom helps you/whose stories inspire you. Please also visit the StoryWalk® at Main Library to read the wonderful Your Legacy: A Bold Reclaiming of Our Enslaved History. With support from the Durham Library Foundation.
