Come make a zine! Zines are DIY, self-published, print works that have been popular within mutiple scenes, including punk, riot grrl, and science fiction fans. They are also a great way to tell your story and build community! Zines can be about any and everything, and we'll have librarian and zine-pert Libby Coyner there to talk about zines, their history, and what makes them amazing. Then you'll get a chance to make your own! We'll supply the materials - all you need to bring is yourself (and maybe a friend or two)!
Can't stay and make a zine? Email raivynnsmith@dconc.gov to reserve a take home kit. You'll be able to come in, select what materials you want, and create a zine at home! Please note: You have to come build your own kit during the program. Supplies and kits are limited.
