Learn about computers & receive a free laptop!
Our hands-on computer classes for beginners will help you get started with computers and the internet. Upon completion of the four-week course, you will receive a laptop computer. Limit one per household.

- Computer Basics: using an operating system; opening programs; saving, copying, and deleting files
- Documents & Typing: word processing basics; formatting text; editing text; using cut, copy, and paste
- Internet Basics: navigating websites; searching with Google; keeping accounts safe; avoiding scams
- Online Life: staying safe online; avoiding scams and unreliable news sources; social networking basics
Kramden is a nonprofit organization in Durham that provides technology tools and training to bridge the digital divide.
This series will take place in room 3214 on the 3rd floor of Main Library.
