Copperheads!

Who, What, Why, When, and Where?

Where do copperheads hide at your house? What do copperheads like to eat? When should you expect to see copperheads? Who will copperheads bite? Why are copperhead's good snakes?

Copperheads, shyly and patiently waiting for their next meal camouflaged amongst the leaf litter, invoke fear, hysteria, and violence amongst humans. Feasting on insects, lizards, and mice amongst other animals, they freeze when discovered by humans but when stepped on they account for half of all snake bites in America!

Join Talena Chavis, Wildlife Damage Control Agent and owner of NC Snake Catcher for a presentation on North Carolina’s most notorious snake!

NC Snake Catcher offers 24/7 humane removal of venomous and non-venomous snakes, as well as preventative measures with inspection services for yards, crawlspaces, and attics. They also offer free snake identification available 24/7: simply snap a photo and text it. NC Snake Catchers unofficial slogan is they 'fight fear with facts'. https://www.facebook.com/ncsnakecatcher/

August 27 in the Auditorium starting at 6 pm at the Main Library located at 300 North Roxboro Street.
