Join us on Saturday, April 12th from 2pm - 3pm at the Main Library for a Spanish language book talk with 13-year-old Children's Book author Alegría Rojas-Patino and Rafael A. Osuba, publisher of ASP BOOKS.

AQUÍ / HERE (siempre aquí - always here) is a bilingual geo-natural visual sci-fi set in the Occoneechee territory, the founding site of Durham, NC. The book takes readers on a journey through time, exploring Indigenous history, urban growth, and renewal. The event will conclude with an exciting performance from a local indigenous Aztec dance group.

This program will be offered in Spanish with English language interpretation available upon request. Please submit your requests to mramirez@dconc.gov no later than April 1, 2025. Language interpretation funded by a grant from the Durham Library Foundation.
