Bragtown Branch Library presents: Her Roots, Our Future: A Black Soil Event.

During Black History Month, Durham County Libraries will be highlighting the achievments of Black Professionals in their respective fields. For this event, we have partnered with the locally-operated Environmental Justice organization, Black Soil. It's founder Ariel Mial, will conduct a panel discussion that will further showcase the stories and work of 3 amazing guest speakers. We will ask them to recount the experiences that emboldened them to step into the field of Environmental Science, as well as the challenges they have encountered on their career paths. This is done in the hopes of educating the general public on the work and achievements of black women in Environmental Science who serve as one of the most underrepresented demographics of STEM professionals.

Join us to learn more about this monumental work and discover your place in creating a healthier world around you!

Please be mindful that parking options are limited.
