Join Duneham County Library and the Durham Department of Water Management to celebrate the life and work of legendary director David Lynch and raise awareness about the importance of clean drinking water with a free film screening of the 1984 masterpiece Dune, based on Frank Herbert's Dune.

National Drinking Water Week runs May 4-10. Drinking Water Week is a time to celebrate Water Management staff who produce, manage, and maintain the City’s water resources to help make Durham a more sustainable community.

National Drinking Water Week is an annual recognition of municipal water providers and water professionals to remind the public of the vital role that clean, safe drinking water plays in our daily lives. Durham’s Department of Water Management designs, creates, and maintains the infrastructure and treatment processes so the system works in harmony to ensure safe tap water is ‘There When You Need It.’
