Teens are invited to learn to sew while helping out in the local community! Connecting With Threads, an inclusive and diverse nonprofit, will be teaching teens to sew using provided sewing machines. The teens will work on creating Fidget Blankets that will be used by the library's OASIS department when programming with patrons who have dementia. Fidget Blankets help seniors relax, practice motor skills, and helps to reduce memory loss.
Registration is required. Teens who participate will receive 7.5 hours of volunteer/community hours. Teens must attend all three (3) sessions to be credited for hours.
