Join us for the 2025 Kickoff of Durham Book Club!

Durham Book Club is a program of, by, and for middle school students and is led by the Student Leadership Team, a group of students who run the entire program, from choosing the books and leading the discussions to running the website and starting new projects, like our writing workshops.

This event is to kick off our annual READS program, where we invite ALL of Durham’s middle school students to gather together to read four books together over the course of four months, from April to July. We are so grateful to be partnering with Durham County Library to provide the opportunities all over Durham to meet in-person to talk about the books. 

This 2025 Kickoff will be focused on The Marvellers by Dhonielle Clayton, our April book. We’ll play some games and get to know each other as we compete to win prizes. We can’t wait to kick off Durham Book Club 2025 with you!
