Mister Waffles the miniature therapy pony and his companion, Zoe the Donkey will be visiting Southwest Regional Library! Join us for a short story followed by time to learn about therapy animals, care and grooming, and the differences that make Mister Waffles & Zoe all the more special.
Registration required. Please note that this event includes live animals and a liability waiver will need to be signed prior to entering the program.
About Mister Waffles:
Mister Waffles is a tiny therapy horse in Durham, NC who is available support and comfort to individuals, groups and communities who have experienced traumatic events, have loved ones in hospital or hospice care, members and families of our armed services and first responders, or schools.
With his calm, patient demeanor and willingness to interact with persons of all ages and abilities, Mister Waffles consistently bring smiles to the faces of everyone he meets. In our experience, time spent with a miniature horse can help children and adults with special needs as well as seniors improve their physical, emotional, and social well being.
