Having a CPR certification can provide babysitters with the confidence and skills needed to handle emergencies effectively.
The Heartsaver® Pediatric course trains participants to give CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner to children and infants.
This course is designed for individuals with limited or no medical training who need to be prepared to respond to illnesses and injuries in children and infants in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a certification that's valid for two years.
This course is a classroom, video-based, Instructor-led course, and will cover CPR AED and choking: CPR and AED Use for Children and Infants, Child and Infant Choking.
Participants will practice CPR and AED skills on manikins, which requires physical effort, including kneeling and chest compressions (pushing on the chest). We suggest that you wear something comfortable.
