Where did Bartlett Durham live? What's the connection between Old Bull, Bull Durham and Durham, England? Where was the indigenous village of Adshusheer? Who lived on the hilltops and who lived in the creek bottoms? Where's Alley #24? Who was Blind Boy Fuller? Where were Durham's three municipal incinerators located? Why were reporters locked in a room at the State Department and how did that Saturday change everything for Durham?
Come along and find out! This 60-min walking tour starts in front of Trinity United Methodist at 215 North Church St, Durham (across from Main Library).
Local street historian John Schelp will join us as we walk down the streets and alleys of downtown. Parking on nearby streets and parking decks. No dogs please. Registration encouraged!
