Poetry Games with the Poetry Fox

Drop in to play quick-write games with the Poetry Fox! In this fun and lively workshop for families and writers of any skill level, we will write a variety of poems using generative methods designed to get you writing without overthinking everything. It will feel like playing games together but we will be drawing upon a variety of experimental poetry forms and traditions. List poems, memory poems, exquisite corpses, and much more—come play with me!

Chris Vitiello is the Durham Poet Laureate through 2027, as well as the Poetry Fox. His most recent books are Irresponsibility and Obedience (both Ahsahta Press). As the Poetry Fox, he writes custom poems on-demand on vintage typewriters at around 250 events a year. He also writes about art and performance, winning the 2017 Rabkin Prize for Visual Arts Journalism.
