It's officially summer, making it the perfect season to join a book club! Do you enjoy reading spooky books, in particular?
Join us at Southwest Regional for our Summer Scares Book Club, geared towards ages 8-12! On the first Monday of every month this summer, we will discuss a spooky book and do a fun activity together! Our book selections for this summer are, as follows...
June's selection: Ravenous Things by Derrick Chow (Some copies for you to keep will be available at the children's desk, on a first come, first served basis starting May 26th!)
July's selection: Eerie Tales from the School of Screams by Graham Annable (Some copies for you to check out will be available at the children's desk, on a first come, first served basis!)
August's selection: Hide and Seeker by Daka Hermon (Some copies for you to check out will be available at the children's desk, on a first come, first served basis!)
The Horror Writers Association (HWA), in partnership with Booklist, Book Riot, iREAD, and NoveList, announces a reading list for Summer Scares every year, so we will enjoy all three of their middle grade selections together!
