For teens! Explore neuroscience with your brains and body as the circuit by taking part in 3 mini-labs!

In collaboration with postdoctoral researchers at Duke University, join us on Saturday, December 6th from 10-12pm to learn the basics of neuroscience through hands-on mini labs with instruction. Join Duke researchers to measure your own muscle signals and brain signals! We’ll discuss how your nervous system transmits sensory and motor signals, how you can measure them electrically, and how you can use them to control a game.

Recommended for 7th-12th grade students.

Registration is required. This program will be held in the Innovation Lab on 3rd floor of Main Library. Children under age 11 must be accompanied by an adult/guardian, and please note that this event is geared towards teens.

If you have any accessibility questions or accommodation needs, please contact us at Maker_STEAM@dconc.gov. We ask that all requests be made at least 3 business days prior to the event to ensure we can provide the best accommodations possible!
