North Carolina is home to a surprising concentration of world-class, mid-century Modernist residential architecture—a legacy George Smart, founder of USModernist, affectionately refers to as "Mayberry Modernism."
During this exciting and visually fascinating presentation, you'll visually explore some of the state's Modernist gems, many still glorious, some endangered, and some destroyed forever.
Whether you are an architect, a history buff, a preservationist, or simply someone who appreciates clean design, this lecture will redefine your view of North Carolina’s landscape.
