With guidance from the local non-profit group, Connecting with Threads, children ages 9 to 12 will learn how to make -- and to personalize -- a quilted block. The pieces will be assembled for exhibition during a presentation with local author and long-time quilter, Frances O'Roark Dowell, the following Saturday (April 25, from 3:00 to 4:00) at Southwest Regional. Each participant will also receive an additional sewing kit with everything needed to make a quilted block at home.
*Reservations required. Adult supervision also advised.
For ages 9 through 12 ONLY (slots for 20 children available)
