Indie Lens Pop-Up Screening: The Librarians
Saturday, April 25 | 12:00 PM – 2 PM
Durham County Main Library
300 N Roxboro Street, Durham

The Librarians examines the growing national movement to challenge library collections, particularly books addressing race, history, and LGBTQIA+ identities. Through firsthand accounts and historical context, the film explores what these efforts mean for libraries, education and democracy.
Following the screening, we’ll host a community conversation and Q&A with librarians and educators focused on intellectual freedom, access to information, and the role of libraries as civic institutions.
Where can I park when the Main Library parking lot is full?
Parking is available in the library parking lot or at the North Queen Street Garage located at 115 North Queen Street which is behind the apartments directly across the street from the library. Parking is free in the garage. Please bring your ticket to a service desk in the library for validation.
