SUMMARY:South Regional Summer Reading Kickoff
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our Summer Reading Kickoff! \n\nKids can enjoy the 
 bounce house\, face painting\, touch a firetruck\, games\, and more!\n\nWe 
 will also have a special performance by Jon Sundell. \n\nAll children and 
 caregivers are welcome. \n\nPlease stop by at the Registration table to 
 fill out our safety waiver and photo consent form.\n\n\n\nBilingual 
 edu-tainer Jon Sundell has been sharing folk songs and tales for over fifty 
 years across the United States and abroad\, including thirty-two years as a 
 children’s librarian in Forsyth County. Accompanying himself with 
 guitar\, banjo\, autoharp\, and adorable puppets\, he easily engages 
 children and adults with an eclectic\, interactive mix of traditional and 
 new repertory\, delivered in a warm\, inviting style that makes you feel 
 like you’re at your best friend’s birthday party.\n\nJon will be 
 presenting a multimedia program entitled “Sizzling Songs and Tantalizing 
 Tales of Dynamic Dinosaurs and Dreadful Dragons.” These prehistoric 
 giants and their fantastic cousins have lived large in human imaginations 
 for many centuries\, right up to the present day! The stories will present 
 two opposing personalities in dragon lore - the dastardly devil that 
 terrifies villages\, from Western cultures\; and the splendiferous\, 
 magical friend\, from Eastern cultures.
