Join us for a presentation by Cynthia Drake, author of A Grandmother's Sourcebook, as she shares project ideas to make time with your grandchild even more special!

Every day in America, there are 10,000 new grandparents.  So then it's trips to the park, bedtime stories, and baking cookies together!  Drake has put together a book of ideas for time shared with your grandkids, including books, internet explorations, and projects.  Ideas include making music with balloons, a compass exploration, Jackie Kennedy's poem project, a family bookmark art album, a tea bag air balloon experiment, and a handshake service project.

A Grandmother's Sourcebook is not about how to love.  That grandparents already know.  It's about what to do with love!

About Cynthia Drake:

My entire life has been about the teaching of children. I have a master’s degree in education and long experience teaching in inner city public schools. I am also a Suzuki piano teacher, a Methodist church choir director, a long time volunteer as a visiting musician in public schools, and a dedicated grandparent to eight grandchildren.  I live in Durham, NC with my husband, Tim (also a writer) in a lovely woodland home.
