Ava N. Simmons aka Ava The S.T.E.M. Princess® is a 9-year-old S.T.E.M. Ambassador, Entrepreneur, Author, and creator of Team Genius Squad. She used S.T.E.M. and entrepreneurial activities to help overcome her academic challenges. To share her learning journey and encourage others, Ava now creates engaging S.T.E.M.-based educational videos, conducts peer-to-peer S.T.E.M. activities in the community via her Mobile S.T.E.M. Lab tent, authors S.T.E.M. books, and designs S.T.E.M. products (e.g., Experiment Kits, Lab Coats). To date, Ava’s videos have been viewed globally by 700,000, and she has conducted 1,000+ S.T.E.M. experiments in the community.
Ava will read excerpts from her book, conduct an interactive S.T.E.M. experiment with participants, take photos, and sign books upon participant requests.
