SUMMARY:Sinister Story Showdown: A Horror Short Story Competition!
DESCRIPTION:\n\nCalling all writers and fans of the macabre! Write and 
 submit your most terrifying tale for the Sinister Story Showdown\, 
 presented by Durham County Library and the Horror Writers Association. 
 Whether psychological\, supernatural\, or classic horror\, we're looking 
 for spine-tingling stories to haunt our judges' dreams. Submissions will be 
 accepted until 11:59pm on Friday\, October 11th.\n\n \n\n\n\nWinners will 
 be announced at Saturday Night Dead on Saturday\, October 26\, where the 
 top three entries will have their stories read aloud and performed by 
 members of the Horror Writers Association. There will also be horror trivia 
 and a costume contest!\n\n \n\nWinners will have their stories printed\, 
 bound\, and added to the Library's collection\, and more!\n\n \n\nContest 
 Rules:\n\n\n	Contestants must be 18 \n	Contestants must live in Durham or 
 the surrounding Triangle area\n	Entries must be original\, unpublished 
 work\n	Entries must not use AI in their creation\n	1\,200 word limit\n	All 
 entries must be typed in Times New Roman\, size 12 font\, double spaced\, 
 with 1-inch margins. Entries must include a cover page with a title\, the 
 author's name\, and the author's city of residence\n\n\nSubmission:\n\nAll 
 contest submissions should be emailed to kfarmer@dconc.gov as a Word 
 document. \n
