Join us for a fun, hands-on woodworking workshop where you’ll learn how to build a StoryWalk® sign from scratch! Our library is launching a new StoryWalk® initiative to bring stories to life along an outdoor trail, and we need your help to create the signs that will display the pages of each story. Come learn a new skill, and leave an impact on our community!
We've partnered with The Bull City Woodshop for this workshop, where you’ll learn essential woodworking skills as you build a sign that will be part of this exciting new project. Whether you’re a beginner or have some woodworking experience, this is a great opportunity to learn new skills and contribute to a fun, community-driven project.
Instructors will be on hand to teach you basic woodworking skills, such as measuring, cutting, sanding, and assembling. All tools and safety gear are provided!
Come roll up your sleeves and join us for a day of learning, crafting, and community spirit. Together, we’ll create beautiful, functional signs that will bring stories to life for generations to come!
This program will be offered all day, in 2-hour timeslots. Please sign up for one timeslot only--we will let you know if there is additional availability closer to the event!
