Testers & Tasters Cookbook Club is a place to talk about food and cooking!

Come share your experiments, experiences, triumphs, and tragedies.

Each month we highlight a theme, ingredient, or cookbook and encourage everyone to prepare a dish to share and discuss. 

This month's theme CHEESE! 

Now don't reach for that block of cheddar just yet; think outside of the box a little! Definitely use a recipe that's new to you, and maybe a less familiar cheese, like halloumi or paneer. You can even try your hand at making cheese yourself! Paneer and ricotta are just two examples of cheeses that are very easy to make at home; just search online and you'll find plenty of recipes and videos. Also welcome: vegan cheese or vegan versions of recipes that are typically made with dairy cheese. No cheese (or faux cheese) dish will be turned away, but if your thoughts are heading for mac & cheese, see if you can find an interesting spin on the classic. Get in touch if you have questions about what to bring!

There will be several cookbooks available for browsing at the North Regional Library information desk, but you can get your recipe from any cookbook or other source.

When you know what you'll be bringing, please email the name and source to etobias@dconc.gov.

Plates, napkins, and silverware will be provided, as well as water, coffee, and tea. Bring your mug!

And don't forget some containers because there are usually leftovers to take home.
